and here is a little about me...

I am a mostly self-taught photographer with the help of some wonderful mentors and killer online classes. An attorney once upon a time, I now have four crazy kids (see photo) and have shifted to a career in creativity - and it feels awesome.

My super powers are humor, sarcasm, and making photoshoots fun. I have a casual, carefree approach to my sessions and strive to make all clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, even if that's hard.

I love working with families, and newborns are my Superbowl. I also enjoy getting professional with companies to create cool, modern ideas for their brands. I feel grateful that there are so many opportunities in photography that bring me joy.

I am a super fan of Justin Bieber, oversized sweatshirts, Mike&Ikes, woven wall hangings, and peace signs. And I can't wait to work with you.

finding the right photographer is important - and there is a right one for everyone.

Let's see if we vibe...

During my shoots, I aim to capture honest, authentic images of your life. It might not always be perfect - in fact, it might be a little messy. Kids often take a moment to warm up, and family members might not "perform" exactly how you would like. But, that is okay! If you let me lead, we will play, laugh, and explore in a way that will create magical, memorable, timeless images.

Here is what I am NOT. I am not a photographer that spends a ton of time curating the perfect, traditional "cheese" photos where everyone is looking at the camera. We will take a couple of those, but that is never my focus. I am not someone who edits out every strand of windy hair or someone who over-smoothes every single wrinkle on a perfectly wonderful face.

Photographers all have different styles. Here is mine...

I give a lot of prompts in my sessions and we move quickly. I encourage movement and action - which then elicit real emotion that is easy and natural to capture. (Think lots of tickles, hugs, walking, swinging, etc.) I like to play with motion and light in a way that feels artistic and true to me. And I work hard to ensure that my shoots feel fun and create a pressure-free, enjoyable experience.
