During my shoots, I aim to capture honest, authentic images of your life. It might not always be perfect - in fact, it might be a little messy. Kids often take a moment to warm up, and family members might not "perform" exactly how you would like. But, that is okay! If you let me lead, we will play, laugh, and explore in a way that will create magical, memorable, timeless images.

Here is what I am NOT. I am not a photographer that spends a ton of time curating the perfect, traditional "cheese" photos where everyone is looking at the camera. We will take a couple of those, but that is never my focus. I am not someone who edits out every strand of windy hair or someone who over-smoothes every single wrinkle on a perfectly wonderful face. 

Photographers all have different styles. Here is mine...

During FAMILY shoots, I give a lot of prompts and we move quickly. I encourage movement and action - which then elicit real emotion that is easy and natural to capture. (Think lots of tickles, hugs, walking, swinging, etc.) I like to play with motion and light in a way that feels artistic and true to me. And I work hard to ensure that my shoots feel fun and create a pressure-free, enjoyable experience. 

For BRANDS, we discuss goals, how and where your images will be used, and your aesthetic prior to our session. During the session I will use my artistic eye coupled with your feedback to create clean, timeless images that are true to your brand.
